Ears to hear: Bart Simpson

Hear the gospelEARS TO HEAR: Years ago we received a phone call from Barrett Sampson, an elder from a church down south. My daughter Autumn answered the phone; he identified himself and asked to speak to me. Autumn had a puzzled look and said to me, so Barrett could hear her, “Bart Simpson wants to talk to dad?” When I got to the phone, Barrett was laughing pretty good.

God is watching

When I went to a Christian school, I walked into the cafeteria and there on the table was a plate of fruit. Next to it was a sign that said “Take one. God is watching.” Next to the fruit was a plate of cookies, with a sign next to it written by a fellow student, that said, “Take as many as you want. God is watching the fruit.”
